Lakeville’s Fire Department Advises Every Home to Have a Fire Extinguisher

Fire Extinguishers are an important fire safety tool for your home.

A multi-purpose fire extinguisher is best. Look for the rating to be at least “2A:10 B:C” on the label.

Most importantly, be sure everyone in your home knows where it’s located and how to use it before an emergency occurs.

By the Numbers

During the week of Feb. 20, through Feb. 27, the Lakeville Fire Department responded to 17 calls for service, including one cooking fire, one smoke or odor removal, one public service call, four motor vehicle accidents with injuries, four medical calls, two gas leaks, one carbon monoxide incident, one false alarm and two good intent calls.
