Where should I store my propane tank? 

All propane tanks should be stored outside or in a detached shed, protected from the elements and at least 10 feet from any openings to the building, including basement windows, doors and vents. 

How do I dispose of an old propane tank? 

Take all empty propane tanks back to an outlet that refills them. Do not keep them around your home or garage and do not include them with your regular refuse pick up.

From July 2 to July 8, 2012 the  responded to 21 calls for service including: 1 building fire, 1 grass fire, 3 medicals, 2 motor vehicle accidents (with injuries), 1 vehicle accident general cleanup, 2 unauthorized burns, 2 gas leaks, 4 good intents, and 5 false alarms.
