Business Academies Take Flight at Lakeville North

Two programs have attracted about 175 students, the Star Tribune reported.

Two new business academies at Lakeville North High School are the subject of a Star Tribune article

Advanced Business Academy (ABA) has about 115 students and Career-Oriented Business Readiness Academy (COBRA) has about 60, the newspaper reported.

The goal of the academies, as reported last year at Lakeville Patch, is to allow for real-world opportunities and give advantages to students who are applying to universities or seeking other post-secondary education options.

“To me, it’s really about career exploration,” Principal Marne Berkvam told the Star Tribune.
