Armstrong, who had a revoked driver’s license, failed a field sobriety test. He allegedly told police that he took heroin four days prior to the incident. Police then was arrested him for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

During a search of the vehicle, police found a bag containing a trace amount of heroin and items reportedly used to make heroin ready to ingest by a syringe.

A sample of Armstrong’s blood studied at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension tested positive for morphine, amphetamine, methamphetamine and methadone.
