The team has raised just over $500 so far through donations on its Movember website.

Officers from the Lakeville Police Department are growing mustaches for men's health awareness through the month of November.

The officers are participating in Movember, an international movement to raise awareness of men's health issues and to raise funds "to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental illness," according to information on the U.S. Movember website.

The Lakeville Police Movember team has raised $505 so far through donations on their Movember website. They hope to raise more than last year, which almost reached $4,000.
