DUMB CRIMINAL: A Hug Sometimes Doesn’t Help Matters

Lakeville police resolve dispute between brothers.

Officers Nic Stevens and Shawn McMahon responded to a family dispute call in which one adult (intoxicated) sibling accused his (sober) brother of stealing his cell phone. During the course of the call, the officers resolved the dispute when they located the missing phone in the intoxicated brother’s room. The intoxicated brother was very apologetic and contrite, but his offer of an apology in the form of a “hug” was declined by his wrongly accused brother.
