Ixnay on the I-35 U-Turns, Says MN State Patrol
Troopers have been writing tickets to motorists who use median crossings in Lakeville to avoid construction-related traffic jams, the Star Tribune reported.
Sneaky drivers who cross the median on I-35 to get around backed-up traffic in Lakeville better be prepared to pay a fine.
"It's been an ongoing problem," Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske told the Star Tribune. "The main problem is that it is illegal and that people are making a u-turn onto a 70-mile-per-hour freeway. That is incredibly dangerous for them and others on the roadway."
