Winter Storm Advisory for Lakeville; Bulk of Super-Storm Remains South
The National Weather Service predicts up to 3 inches of snow could fall in Lakeville through Thursday afternoon. Projected totals are higher to the south as a massive storm slams the midwest.
With the track of an impending super-storm shifting, Lakeville and Dakota County are now included in a winter storm advisory that takes effect at 9 p.m. Wednesday and expires 6 p.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service says up to 3 inches of snow could fall in Lakeville through Thursday afternoon. Projected totals are higher to the south. A whopping 15-inches are forecast for parts of southern Minnesota and Iowa, as well as blizzard conditions. But snow isn't the only concern. The wind will pickup speeds overnight with gusts as high as 30 mph predicted for Thursday, creating visibliity issues with blowing snow. Then the cold hits.
