Lakeville Government Television Wins Regional Emmys
Station producer Jim Schiffman and photojournalist Tim Klausler took home four awards at the recent regional Emmy ceremony, a rarity for public access television.
Winning an Emmy Award is a big deal. But winning four of them is a real feat, especially for public access programming. Lakeville Government Television, the city's television production department, was recently honored with four awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at the 2010 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Awards. LGTV producer Jim Schiffman and photojournalist Tim Klausler won three awards jointly: Childrens' Single Story or Feature for "Kids and Government's Biggest Fan;" Childrens' Special or Series for "Lakeville Kids and Government;" and a Board of Governor's Award for the station.
