Three CLIMB Theatre actors will be visiting Kenwood Trail Middle School at 7 p.m. on Dec. 4 to perform "Lockdown," a free play open to students in grades 4 and up, parents and educators. "Lockdown" is a play that deals with examples of physical, verbal, and social harassment, as well as cyberbullying. It explores the reasons why bystanders frequently choose not to take action when they see another person being harassed. "Lockdown" models positive bystander behavior and illustrates both the positive and negative possible consequences of intervention. "A Month of Sundays," by Bob Larbey, is a play set in a residential rest home for the elderly.
Expressions Community Theater is auditioning actors for a play at the Lakeville Area Arts Center today and tomorrow. "A Month of Sundays," by Bob Larbey, is a play set in a residential rest home for the elderly and revolves around "Cooper," who has voluntarily left his family to avoid the indignity of depending on them. He and his friend, fellow resident "Aylott," respond to the inevitable physical and mental frailties of old age with wit and humor. Auditions will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Lakeville Area Arts Center. Actors should prepare a one-minute comedic monologue and bring a current photo.
