MOM Brands continues its business migration to Lakeville. The well-known cereal manufacturer—formerly known as Malt-O-Meal—recently closed a deal on a 65,000 square feet of building on 10 acres of land immediately adjacent to its existing facilities in Lakeville's Fairfield Business Campus The new facility, located along the 20800-block of Kensington Boulevard, is primarily a manufacturing and warehouse space and will be remodeled into additional office and research and development space, according to the city of Lakeville. MOM Brands also plans to move their corporate headquarters from Minneapolis to Lakeville by the fall of 2014, as previously reported by Patch.

The family-owned cereal maker—formerly known as Malt-O-Meal—will move its headquarters from Minneapolis to the Fairfield Business Campus over the next two years.
MOM Brands is moving its headquarters and 100 jobs to Lakeville. Last week, the family-owned cereal maker—formerly known as Malt-O-Meal—announced it will move its main offices from the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis to the Fairfield Business Campus. The move is expected to be completed in 2014, says the MOM Brands website. The new headquarters will be housed in a building MOM Brands intends to purchase that’s adjacent to the company’s technical center, at 20802 Kensington Blvd. About 200 people work at the Lakeville technical center, which has been open since 2009, says the MOM Brands website. Malt-O-Meal on Tuesday announced it has changed its corporate name to MOM Brands, Co. The change reflects the company's growth since launching in 1919 as a one-product company, according to their website. It now produces 10 brands of cereal and will continue to produce its Malt-O-Meal brand. "We're still family-owned, and we will always be focused on what's good for families. Great quality, great tasting cereal at prices they can afford," the company's website reads. "In fact, that's our company's mission—to find better ways to make better breakfasts at a better price.
