Man Charged With First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct in Lakeville Incident

Francisco Cleofus Mountain, 34, is facing five felony charges stemming from an alleged assault in a home last month.

A 39-year-old St. Paul man was being held in the Dakota County Jail on Wednesday afternoon in connection to a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in a Lakeville home last month. The incident reportedly left a woman hospitalized and in need of emergency surgery. Francisco Cleofus Mountain has been charged with five felony counts, including two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Bond in the case stands at $175,000 without conditions. Mountain originally was arrested on April 27 and charged three days later with terroristic threats and domestic assault. The original Dakota County criminal complaint was amended on Tuesday to include the criminal sexual conduct charges and one count of felony assault. Mountain made his first …

WCCO: Lakeville Issued 1,200 Speeding Tickets in 2011

The city issues about one speeding ticket per year for every 50 residents.

Lakeville police wrote about one speeding ticket for every 50 residents in 2011, according to a report on WCCO-TV. That year, Lakeville police wrote 1,203 tickets for excessive speed. With a population of 56,443, Lakeville ranked 48th in number of speeding tickets per capita out of the 85 municipalities included in the WCCO report. Nearby police departments ranked both higher and lower: Apple Valley (22), Mendota Heights (24), Rosemount (26), Savage (41), Lakeville (48), Shakopee (49), Burnsville (50), Prior Lake (56) Inver Grove Heights (62), Farmington (66), Eagan (70). Felony Charge Pending Against Man Involved In Dakota County Standoff

Tyrone Joseph Mohr, 34, was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday by the Dakota Countty Sheriff’s Department after a seven-hour standoff at a home north of Northfield.

The 34-year-old man who allegedly took part in a standoff with police Saturday north of Northfield is scheduled make his first appearance in Dakota County District Court on Tuesday. Tyrone Joseph Mohr was arrested by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Department at roughly 1 p.m. Saturday. A charge of felony terroristic threats is pending against him. As of Sunday afternoon, Mohr was being held in the Dakota County Jail awaiting his first court appearance, which is scheduled at noon Tuesday. The jail’s inmate search web page says he also is being held on $35,000 bond for a charge of felony terroristic threats in Hennepin County. Dakota County MAAG Team Responds to Police Standoff North of Northfield

Dakota County Sheriff Dave Bellows says one man was taken into custody following a seven-hour standoff.

Officers from Dakota County’s Multi-Agency Assistance Group were involved in a standoff at a residence north of Northfield Saturday. The MAAG Team—known better as the county’s SWAT team—is assembled for high-risk assignments, such as the barricade situation that occurred in southern Dakota County on Saturday. The seven-hour standoff ended shortly before 1 p.m when officers took a 34-year-old man into custody, Dakota County Sheriff Dave Bellows told the Northfield News. A second person was also detained. Teller Supervisor Charged with Stealing $95,000 from Lakeville Bank

Leah Marie Bremner, 31, of Farmington appeared in court on Friday for the crime, which allegedly occurred between May and October 2010.

A 31-year-old Farmington woman is accused of stealing $95,000 over a six-month period from a Lakeville bank, where she was lead teller supervisor. Leah Marie Bremner is charged with felony theft by swindle, which is punished by up to 20 years and a fine of between $30,000 and $100,000. She’s accused of stealing the money from the bank between May 1 and Oct. 4, 2010, when Lakeville police responded to a report of an internal bank theft cash. Bremner was arrested on a warrant and made her first appearance in Dakota County District Court on Friday. Judge Timothy McManus set bail at $10,000 without conditions and $5,000 with conditions, says the Farmington Independent. Bremner was released on bail later on Friday, says the St. Paul Pioneer …

Lakeville Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Violating Order for Protection

Thomas James Rourke, 42, of Rosemount allegedly knocked on the victim’s bedroom window and asked to enter her home to talk. Police allegedly found him in the victim’s garage.

Lakeville police arrested a 42-year-old Rosemount man early Tuesday after he allegedly violated an order for protection filed by an ex-girlfriend. Thomas James Rourke allegedly knocked on the victim’s window and entered her garage. Police reportedly found him intoxicated and sitting in the victim’s car. Rourke has been charged with felony burglary, gross misdemeanor stalking and two misdemeanors. He made his first appearance in Dakota County District Court on Thursday. On Friday morning, he was being held in the Dakota County Jail on $60,000 bond. Man Reportedly Falls Asleep in Lakeville Drive-Thru Lane

Michael Marshall Simmons, 26, faces a felony driving-while-impaired charge and a gross misdemeanor charge as result of the April 25 incident.

A Farmington man with three drunken driving convictions since 2005 was arrested by Lakeville police April 25 after allegedly falling asleep while waiting for food in a restaurant drive-thru line. Michael Marshall Simmons, 26, was charged with felony first-degree driving while impaired and gross misdemeanor driving with a cancelled license. According to a Dakota County District Court complaint released Monday: Lakeville police received a call from the manager of a fast-food restaurant on Cedar Avenue at about 5:15 p.m. April 25. The manager reportedly said a man in the drive-thru lane fell asleep at the wheel of his car while waiting for his food. The man was awakened and told to pull ahead to wait for his order.
