Lakeville's Kenwood Trail Middle School Science Olympiad Results

Congratulations to the two Kenwood Trail Middle School Science Olympiad teams for their regional tournament successes on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Providence Academy.

Congratulations to the two Kenwood Trail Middle School Science Olympiad teams for their regional tournament successes on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Providence Academy. Kenwood Trail Middle School (KTMS) teams placed 5th and 6th in the regional tournament,  competing against 13 other teams from around the state. Several KTMS students earned medals in their individual events.  Earning 1st place in events are the following students:  Earning 2nd place: 3rd place: 4th place: Congratulations to Kenwood Trial Middle School on these great accomplishments.  The state competition will be held on March 2, 2013 at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

Lakeville Teacher, Service Dog Fly to Newtown, CT, to Help Victims Cope

Holly Ryan, a school psychologist at Lakeville's Kenwood Trail Middle School, flew to her hometown of Newtown, CT, along with a service dog, to help victims of the tragedy cope.

It wasn't until later that she learned half a country away, her hometown of Newtown, CT, had become the site of the second-deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Ryan, 40, a school psychologist at Lakeville's Kenwood Trail Middle School, says text messages from her mother and sister first alerted her to the tragedy that unfolded. "I think the events are still unimaginable in their entirety," Ryan said. "There are just so many personal accounts—families directly and indirectly affected—it's overwhelming." CLIMB Theatre to Perform Free Anti-Bullying Play in Lakeville

"Lockdown" is a play that deals with examples of physical, verbal, and social harassment, as well as cyberbullying.

Three CLIMB Theatre actors will be visiting Kenwood Trail Middle School at 7 p.m. on Dec. 4 to perform "Lockdown," a free play open to students in grades 4 and up, parents and educators. "Lockdown" is a play that deals with examples of physical, verbal, and social harassment, as well as cyberbullying. It explores the reasons why bystanders frequently choose not to take action when they see another person being harassed. "Lockdown" models positive bystander behavior and illustrates both the positive and negative possible consequences of intervention.
