Lakeville North Cheer Invitational Gets Down 'Gangnam Style'

This weekend, a cheer competition at Lakeville North turned into giant, spontaneous dance party.

This past weekend's Lakeville North Cheer Invitational turned into a bit more than a competition when hundreds of cheerleaders and much of the crowd broke into dance when "Gangnam Style" by South Korean rapper Psy came over the PA. Baffled by the Gangnam phenomenon? Take a look at Psy's original video, a send-up of the super rich that has garnered 590 million YouTube views since it premiered July 15. "Gangnam" has spawned dozens of parodies and set the Guinness world record for the most “liked” video in YouTube history. Some have called it the "greatest video since 'Thriller.'" The City of Burnsville got some choice footage of the spontaneous event.
