Lakeville Police Arrest Man on Fifth DUI-Related Charge

Police say Elliot Alexander Williams was legally drunk when he sped out of a Lakeville parking lot, then fled his car and hid on top of a nearby garage.

A Burnsville man arrested four months ago on felony drunken-driving charges has been charged again with felony DWI, this time in Lakeville. Elliot Alexander Williams, 22, is charged with first-degree DWI, which carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of three years in prison and a $4,200 fine. Williams is also charged with fleeing police, a misdemeanor with a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. According to the criminal complaint, Lakeville police were parked at the entrance to the Valley Lake Park parking lot on Nov. 3 when they saw a car driven by Williams speed out of the lot.
