Even on a good day, tensions run high in the customer service department of The Treasure Chest because of two female coworkers who can’t stand each other, and a third who is constantly stuck in the middle. Expressions Community Theater is presenting 'The Odd Couple' and auditions are set for June 18 and 20.
Expressions Community Theater will be presenting Neil Simon’s comedy classic, The Odd Couple on August 10-12, 17-19 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center. For ticket information call 952-985-4640. This outrageous comedy asks the immortal question: “Can two divorced men share an apartment without driving each other crazy?” The two act play features Felix (a compulsive neat freak) and his roommate Oscar (the consummate slob). When you throw in 4 poker pals and 2 flighty English gals, you get a madcap free-for-all that has been delighting fans of stage, big screen, and television for nearly 50 years. Expressions Community Theater is auditioning actors for a play at the Lakeville Area Arts Center today and tomorrow. "A Month of Sundays," by Bob Larbey, is a play set in a residential rest home for the elderly and revolves around "Cooper," who has voluntarily left his family to avoid the indignity of depending on them. He and his friend, fellow resident "Aylott," respond to the inevitable physical and mental frailties of old age with wit and humor. Auditions will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Lakeville Area Arts Center. Actors should prepare a one-minute comedic monologue and bring a current photo.
