The son of a Motown blues guitarist faces a felony charge for allegedly assaulting and strangling his girlfriend after they fought over the music playing on a radio. Bernard Allison, a 47-year-old Lakeville resident, faces one felony count of domestic assault by strangulation and one misdemeanor count of domestic assault for his alleged role in the incident, which took place on Feb. 11. Navin Ramadhar, 25, is charged with domestic assault by strangulation, a felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. A Lakeville man has been charged with assault after being accused of punching his brother and a female friend while high on LSD. Julian Michael Denny, 22, has been charged by the Dakota County Attorney's Office with one county of felony domestic assault and one count of felony fifth degree assault, stemming from the March 1 confrontation. According to a criminal complaint filed in Dakota County, Denny was getting more and more agitated and violent after taking LSD around 7 p.m. the previous night. An Eagan father who allegedly punched his son following a basketball game faces new criminal charges, the Dakota County Attorney's office announced today. Steven Ohara Wilson, 52, was originally charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic assault after allegedly holding his son's head with one arm while using the other arm to punch him after the boy's eighth-grade team lost in a basketball tournament at Lakeville High School. Wilson was arrested on Dec. 10. An Eden Prairie man accused of strangling a Lakeville woman in July was arrested this week. Joe Willie Towns, 42, was arrested Monday in Minnneapolis and has been released on bond. He is charged with a felony count of domestic assault by strangulation, which carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. He also faces two counts of misdemeanor domestic assault, each of which has a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. Nathaniel Sweezy, 50, faces a felony count of domestic assault, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. A warrant has been issued for a Rosemount man charged with domestic assault after authorities say he punched a woman in the side of her head while the two were in a car in Lakeville. Andre David Rush II, 19, faces a felony charge in connection with the June 8 incident. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. According to the criminal complaint against Rush, Lakeville police were called to Fernando Way and Farcry Avenue and met with the victim, who said that Rush, her ex-boyfriend, had assaulted her.
