Tickets On Sale for Lakeville Arts Center's 'Don’t Say You Don’t Remember'

VIDEO: The Voice's Nicholas David Stages Homecoming Performance

The musician's homecoming performance at his alma mater in Rosemount included a joint sing-a-long with current students at the school.

Halfway through his stint on NBC's "The Voice," Eagan native Nicholas David got an email from the students at St. Joseph Catholic School in Rosemount, the musician's alma mater. "It brought me to tears," Nicholas David recalled to an enraptured audience at the church Thursday afternoon. "I saw that you guys were praying. And knowing that’s where I came from, it really was a tremendous push to keep going." The singer, who took third place in December on the televised musical competition, staged a homecoming performance forf hundreds of students and community members at the church. Renowned Composer to Lead Lakeville South Band in Free Concert

Lakeville South invites the public to a free band concert at 7 p.m. on Dec. 11, featuring guest composer/arranger, Shelley Hanson.

The Lakeville South High School bands invite one and all to a concert at 7 p.m. on Dec. 11, featuring guest composer/arranger, Shelley Hanson. Hanson is a composer, clarinetist, conductor and record producer whose music has been performed on all continents except Antarctica. The event is free to all and Hanson will be conducting the Lakeville South Wind Ensemble playing her arrangement of "Noel/Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." The Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensembles will also be performing. Hanson has performed as a soloist with many groups, including the Minnesota Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony, Rochester Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Las Vegas Philharmonic, and the U.S. Air Force Band (Washington, D.C.) …

Soul Asylum Brings Down Curtain on Pan-O-Prog Saturday at Babe's

Famed Twin Cities musical group rocks the tent at Lakeville's Babe's Sports Bar and Grill.

Famed local rock group Soul Asylum headlined Babe's "Party Under The Tent" and punctuated Saturday night of Pan-O-Prog as a full-house jammed with the band until midnight. Following the annual Pan-O-Prog parade, Babe's hosted a total of three bands on Saturday evening as School Of Rock and Flashmob took the stage ahead of the local rockers.
