Election season is nearly done and Lakeville's legislative candidates have released their finance reports that were due no later than Oct. 29 to the state's Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. The reports are available at their website. According to the campaign finance reports, some candidates have raised thousands of dollars during the election cycle. In addition, election day isn't until Tuesday, Nov. 6, and some candidates still have sizable amounts of cash on hand. According to the campaign finance reports, some candidates have raised thousands of dollars during the election cycle. How much money have local candidates raised? Patch investigates.
Election season is in full swing and Lakeville's state house and senate candidates are out campaigning and raising money. In some cases, big money. According to the campaign finance reports handed into the state last month, some candidates have raised tens of thousands of dollars through July 23. Also, incumbents and folks who have previously run still have significant cash on hand thanks to dollars saved from previous campaigns. Election day isn't until Tuesday, Nov. 6.
