Lakeville Man Charged with Strangling Woman at Gas Station

Police say Navin Ramadhar was legally drunk when he drove to a Burnsville gas station and choked the woman riding in his car.

A Lakeville man has been charged with strangling his girlfriend at a Burnsville gas station while he was intoxicated. Navin Ramadhar, 25, is charged with domestic assault by strangulation, a felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. He is also charged with second-degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor with a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $3,000 fine; and misdemeanor domestic assault, which has a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a Burnsville gas station on Grand Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. Aug. 18 on a report of an assault in progress. A witness told police that a man, later identified as Ramadhar, was choking a female …

Man Arrested in Lakeville Accused of Criminal Sexual Conduct

The most serious of the charges against Stephen Richard Angotti carries with it a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $40,000 fine.

A 27-year-old Burnsville man, apprehended Jan. 19 at a Lakeville hotel, has been charged with sexually molesting his 7-year-old daughter over a span of two years. According to a Dakota County criminal complaint filed Jan. 20: Stephen Richard Angotti gave himself up without incident at a Lakeville hotel after Burnsville police confronted him with accusations of engaging in criminal sexual conduct with his young daughter.  The step-mother of the alleged victimnbcontacted Burnsville police after the little girl allegedly said Angotti had molested her. When asked by specialists at a forensic services center in Apple Valley, the girl claimed the acts had occurred in all three of the residences the family had lived in since 2010.  Angotti is …
