Lakeville North High School is one of the community's two high schools. Located just two miles west of downtownMore Lakeville on Ipava Avenue, North opened in 1993 to 660 students. Today, Lakeville North, which is home to the Panthers, hosts 1,802 students in grades 9-12. Before Lakeville South High School opened in 2005, North was known simply as Lakeville High School and housed all of the district's grade 9-12 students.

The school is led by Principal Marne Berkvam and in 2009 was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Prior to North, Lakeville's high school was in the building that is now Kenwood Trial Middle School.

Kenwood Trail Middle School

Kenwood Trail Middle School was built in 1975 as Lakeville High School. When Lakeville North High School was built inMore 1993, Kenwood Trail was converted into the middle school it is today.

Led by Principal Kate Eisenthal, the school is home to 862 students in grades six to eight. Kenwood Trail hosts the district's only competitive swimming pool.

The school is located along Kenwood Trail, about halfway between Interstate 35 and downtown Lakeville.

Lake Marion Elementary School

When Lake Marion Elementary School opened in 1990 at the corner of Kenwood Trail and Dodd Boulevard, it was nearly inMore the middle of nowhere. Downtown Lakeville was more than a mile to the southeast and the development adjacent to the school, including Ames Ice Arena, Lakeville North High School and the commercial areas were not yet built.

Today, the school is surrounded by development and is home to 596 students in grades K - 5 and Principal John Braun has been the school's leader since it opened.

McGuire Middle School

McGuire Middle School opened in 1956 and at that time, was Lakeville Junior/Senior High School. It held grades 7 toMore 12 until Kenwood Trail Middle School was built in 1975. The building then became a middle school.

In 1982, the school was renamed Donald J. McGuire Middle School in honor of the retired, longtime superintendent.

Today, McGuire is Lakeville's largest middle school, home to 938 students in grades 6 to 8. The school is adjacent to JFK Elementary School and the district office.

The school is led by Principal Joshua Alexander.
