Lakeville South Dance Team Hosts Aloha! Invitational

Also this weekend is the Lakeville Friends of the Environment meeting and the Climate Lobby meeting, both at Main Street Coffee Cafe.

Here are some Lakeville area events from Jan. 10-12. Find more activities under the Events tab on Patch and add your own.

Lakeville South Dance Invitational, ALOHA

Support the Cougar Dance Team at their dance invitational at Lakeville High School. Class A/AA/AAA Varsity, JV, B Squad and Middle School Kick and Jazz teams will compete.

While you're there, check out the retail and food vendors that will also be present, including: Baldy's BBQ, Maui Wowi, Green Mill, Ring Mountain, OMG Waffles, Lolligobs, DCS Image, Expressions by Anissa, Savvy Boutique, Petite Baked Cupcakes, Stay Sassy, Mainstream Boutique and HealthSource Chiropractic of Lakeville.

When: 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11
Where: Lakeville South High School, 21135 Jacquard Avenue.
Admission: $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, children ages 5 years and younger are free; programs are $2 each

Lakeville Friends of the Environment 2014 Meeting

Learn more about the group during the meeting, which will include planning for 2014 events. Some events in the planning stages are a Solar Energy Forum with Dakota Electric in March, a clean up in April with Friends of the Mississippi and Pedal the Parks with the city of Lakeville.

Citizens Climate Lobby January Meeting

Newcomers are welcome to the monthly Citizens Climate Lobby meeting on Saturday. The group is planning their first Minnesota and Dakotas Regional Conference for Jan. 24-26 at Macalester College. Other activities are also planned at the meeting, such as a letter to area churches.

When: 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11
Where: Mainstreet Coffee Cafe, 20700 Holyoke Avenue.
