Proclamation's "Proclaim Christmas" Concert

Bethlehem Lutheran Church is holding its fifth annual "Proclaim Christmas" show this week. The show features Proclamation, a group based in the Twin Cities. 

"Proclaim Christmas tells the Christmas story with an exciting combination of theatrical readings and live music covering a wide variety of musical genres."

When: 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6

A Classic Christmas

Hear Christmas favorites from the 1940s and 1950s from such artists as Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Judy Garland and Perry Como. There will also be familiar Christmas carols from church. 

"Learn a little background about many of these Christmas favorites and take a walk down memory lane as you listen and sing along."

Alison Scott's "Soulful Christmas"

Alison Scott will perform her "Soulful Christmas" concert at the Lakeville Area Arts Center. Joining Scott and her band for some songs will be Lakeville South's Encore Choir.  

Scott's "soulful organic sound has cut through the din of indie rock to build a large and loyal following throughout the Midwest. You’ll hear all of her greatest hits and favorite holiday songs."

When: 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6

Free Photos with Santa at Prudential Lovejoy Realty

Prudential Lovejoy Realty in Lakeville is hosting its annual "Warmth For Wreaths" event. The office is collecting new or gently used warm items (coats, mittens, gloves, scarfs, boots, etc.) for families in need. Santa will also be present to spread his holiday cheer and digital photos will be provided free of charge. 

When: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 7

A Christmas Celebration with Sara Renner and Tonia Hughes

Christian singers based in the Twin Cities will sing at Trinity Evangelical Free Church on Sunday. The singers will draw from various musical styles, such as contemporary, traditional, gospel and jazz for a Christmas musical celebration.

When: 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8

Handel's Messiah Performed by Dakota Valley Symphony & Chorus

The Dakota Valley Symphony Chorus and soloists will perform Handel’s Messiah with the full orchestra at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center. There will be two performances. During the second performance, at 7 p.m., the audience can sing along. Scores will be available for purchase before the concert.

When: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8
Where: Burnsville Performing Arts Center, 12600 Nicollet Avenue in Burnsville
