Holiday Concerts and Theater: A Lakeville Weekend

Also this weekend, the outdoor ice rinks and warming houses open in Lakeville.

"Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells"

"When everyone picks names for Secret Santa, Junie B. gets stuck with Tattletale you-know-who! It’s enough to fizzle your holiday spirit! Hmm . . . or is it? Maybe, just maybe, a Secret Santa gift is the perfect opportunity to give May exactly what she deserves."

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 20-21; 2 p.m. Sunday and Monday, Dec. 22-23
Where: Lakeville Area Arts Center, 20965 Holyoke Avenue

Lakeville South's Holiday Cabaret

All the proceeds of this student-run event will benefit the JDRF (formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). The event will include solos, duets and ensembles and holiday treats.

Tickets: Available Dec. 18-20 during lunch hour at Lakeville South or by reservation at cabaret@lshschoirs.org. Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for adults.

Lakeville Outdoor Skating Rinks Open

Outdoor ice rinks and warming houses are scheduled to open on Saturday, Dec. 21. Normal operating hours are:

  • 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday
  • 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday
  • 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday

Proclamation's Proclaim Christmas Concert 

It's your last chance to see the fifth annual Proclaim Christmas show.

"Proclaim Christmas tells the Christmas story with an exciting combination of theatrical readings and live music covering a wide variety of musical genres."

When: 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21
Where: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 151 East County Road 42 in Burnsville
