Celebrate Halloween in Lakeville: Downtown Trick-or-Treating and the Haunted Forest

Other activities in Lakeville this weekend include clean-up around North Creek and a holistic health fair.

Here are some weekend events in the Lakeville area from Oct. 25-27.

North Creek Clean Up with Lakeville Friends of the Environment

Help clean up the area around North Creek at Steve Michaud Park. Bring your own gloves. Bags, coffee and treats will be provided.

Time: Saturday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 a.m.

Holistic Health Fair

This free event will feature booths, talks, demonstrations and giveaways. Some of the vendors include Health Source Chiropractic, Evolve and Massage Retreat and Spa, according to the event posting.

Time: Saturday, Oct. 26 at 9 a.m.
Location: Minnesota School of Business in Lakeville, 17685 Juniper Path

Fall Book Sale

Friends of the Heritage Library will continue to hold their fall book sale at Heritage Library through the weekend. 

Time: Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 27 (bag sale) from 1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Author Talk in Lakeville

Tasha Schuh, the author of My Last Step Backward will share her story, which will encourage others to face adversity and find purpose.

Time: Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Lakeville

Go trick-or-treating in downtown Lakeville. Activities include pumpkin decorating and a kiddy costume contest and parade.

Time: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Post Office Mall, Holyoke Avenue, Downtown Lakeville

Free Screening of "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia"

Decoding Dyslexia-Minnesota is hosting a screening of HBO's documentary The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia as a free dyslexia awareness event. Please RSVP on the Decoding Dyslexia-Minnesota Facebook page.

Haunted Forest

Take a trip to the haunted forest at Steve Michaud Park for some Halloween fun. Activities include awards for costumes, a trick-or-treat maze and face painting. Cost is $10 per carload or $3 per person and donation of a non-perishable food item.

Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Steve Michaud Park, 17100 Ipava Avenue.
