Lakeville Elections 2013: Where Do I Vote?

Polls open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Voters in the Lakeville Area Public School District boundaries will vote on the levy referendum question on Tuesday. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Polling locations for school district elections are not necessarily the same as they are when there are city elections.

The easiest way to find out where you vote is to use the Polling Place Finder on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.

You can use another online tool to check to see if you're registered to vote. If you're not registered or need to update your registration information, you can do so on Nov. 5 as long as you bring valid proof of residence

The following list, as noted on MnVotes.org, can be used as proof of residence:

  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license, learner’s permit, Minnesota ID card, or receipt for any of these.
  • Valid student ID card including photo — if college has provided a student housing list to election officials.
  • Tribal ID card that contains photo and signature.
  • Valid registration in the same precinct under a different name or address.
  • Notice of late registration sent by your county auditor or city clerk.
  • Voter registered in the same precinct who can confirm the voter’s address with a signed oath.
  • An employee of the residential facility where the voter lives who can confirm address with a signed oath.

Residents also have the option to bring a photo ID and a current bill from the list below, also on MnVotes.org. The photo ID and bill needs to have the current name and address of the voter.

  • Minnesota driver's license.
  • Minnesota ID card.
  • United States passport.
