Lakeville's South Creek Earth Day Cleanup is Tomorrow

Help clean up South Creek, which feeds the Vermillion River, an important tributary of the Mississippi River and trophy trout stream.

The Lakeville Friends of the Environment will be joining up with volunteers for an Earth Day clean-up of Lakeville's South Creek tomorrow at 9 a.m. Volunteers are meeting at .

A variety of clean-up options will be available. There is ample trash to pick up in the field and lots leading up to the stream. Those with waterproof boots are needed to pick up litter in the marshy area next to the creek, and those with waders (several pairs will be available at the cleanup) are needed to clean up from the stream-side.

Bags and gloves will be provided, however if you have a good pair of gloves please do bring them. A light breakfast (think bagels and coffee) will be provided at the meeting location. Directions to the exact meeting spot will be emailed to registrants.
