Local Athletes Dodge Raindrops For Mid-Week Matchups

Lakeville sports teams able to get in almost all contests on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Despite playing under the threat of thunderstorms on both Tuesday and Wednesday, Lakeville North and South sports teams both managed to get in nearly the entirety of their mid-week schedules.

North Boys Lacrosse: Eastview 6, Panthers 5

A 6-5 loss at Eastview dropped the Lakeville North boys lacrosse team to 4-4 overall and 2-4 in the South Suburban Conference.

Sam Larson led the Panthers with two goals in the loss, with Willy Wang logging a team-high three assists.

South Girls Lacrosse: Burnsville 11, Cougars 10

The Lakeville South girls lacrosse team lost 11-10 to visiting conference rival Burnsville on Tuesday to fall to 3-6 this season.

Abigail Ness tallied team highs in goals and assists with four each in the defeat.

North Girls Lacrosse: Blake 19, Panthers 8

A 19-8 loss to state power Blake on Wednesday dropped the Lakeville North girls lacrosse team to 6-3 on the year.

Kacie Waagbo led the Panthers with three goals, while Hannah Koloski had two goals and two assists in the setback.

South Baseball: Prior Lake 4, Cougars 2

The Lakeville South baseball team lost 4-2 at conference rival Prior Lake on Wednesday to fall to 5-10 overall and 3-10 in the South Suburban. Individual statistics were not available.

North Softball: Panthers Drop Two

Losses of 4-2 at Burnsville and 4-0 at Apple Valley dropped the Lakeville North softball team to 7-11 overall and 3-9 in the conference. 

Maggie Olson leads the Panthers with a .415 batting average, with Erika Rozell knocking in a team-high 15 runs batted in this season.

South Softball: Cougars 9, Bloomington Kennedy 2

The Lakeville South softball team defeated Bloomington Kennedy, 9-2, on Wednesday to improve to 10-6 overall and 7-5 in the South Suburban.

Starting pitcher Kendall Palfi earned the win after allowing one hit and two unearned runs in six innings of work while striking out three Eagles batters.

Molly Olson went 2-for-2 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored, while Taylor Donnelly went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored in the victory.

South And North Boys Golf: Cougars Win, Panthers Third At Bracketts Crossing

Lakeville North won the South Suburban boys golf meet at Bracketts Crossing, with South placing third on Tuesday.

The Cougars carded a 307, the Panthers a 310. Individual results were not available.

North Boys Tennis: Eagan 6, Panthers 1

The Lakeville North boys tennis team lost 6-1 to Eagan on Tuesday. Individual results were not available.

South Boys Tennis: Burnsville 6, Cougars 1

Burnsville defeated the Lakeville South boys tennis team, 6-1, on Tuesday. Individual results were not available.

Results from the sectional True Team meet involving both the North and South Track/Field teams in Rochester on Tuesday were not available.
