Cougars dance well but fail to crack tough Section 1AAA competition.

In a section loaded with state title contenders, Lakeville South danced well but failed to advance in either the high kick or jazz categories Saturday.

Competing in the 2011 Section 1AAA Dance Team Tournament at Bloomington Kennedy High School, Eastville won both the jazz and high kick divisions to advance to next week's state meet.

Lakeville North finished second and Burnsville third in the jazz division. Apple Valley was second and Faribault third in the high kick category.
