Lakeville North Softball Rallies to Win in Extra-Innings
After falling behind 5-0, the Panthers rally to tie game, then win in the ninth inning
The big pendulum of momentum started against the Lakeville North softball in their game against Rosemount. But as the game progressed, that pendulum began to swing.
After falling behind 5-0 to the Rosemount team, the Lakeville North Panthers never panicked. The team didn't get their first hit until the fourth inning, but managed to score four runs in that inning. Rosemount responded by scoring one run in the top of the fifth, but Lakeville North continued to gain steam and scored two in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at six.
Both teams then tightened up on defense and neither team scored for three innings. In the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded, a short fly ball dropped in center field to score the winning run, giving the Panthers the 7-6 victory.
