ON THE LINE
Sixteen schools will send boys and girls teams to this annual event, with two more sending either a boys or a girls squad to race in either a four- or five-kilometer race around Aronson Park.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Emma Johnson led the Lakeville North girls with a third-place finish in the Faribault Invitational on Friday, Sept. 9, running the 4,000-meter course in 15 minutes, 11.5 seconds. Ben Saxton paced the Panthers boys with a 12th-place run in Faribault, circumnavigating the 5,000-meter course in 16:40.4.
Kaytlyn Larson (15:10.7), Annie Brekken (15:13.7) and Megan Kilbride (15:17.8) took second, fourth and sixth at the Bauman/Rovn Invitational in Minnetrista on Thursday, Sept. 8. Mark Honetschlager topped the Cougars boys in Minnetrista, taking 24th in 17:07.2.
