Lakeville North, the lone remaining unbeaten team in the South Suburban Conference, travels to Bloomington Stadium to take on one of three winless sides in the circuit, Bloomington Jefferson. The Jaguars should be little more than a speed bump for a team in search of an undefeated season.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
North
North actually trailed for all of 14 seconds in the second quarter of last week's 24-7 win at Eastview, before wide receiver Brandon Morgan claimed a 95-yard kickoff return to squelch any momentum the Lighting had following what would be their only touchdown. running back Jamiah Newell added two rushing scores in win No. 3.
Jaguars
The tandem of quarterback Noah Luedtke and wide receiver Matthew Debianchi have a penchant for the long-toss connection, hooking up on touchdowns of 94 and 80 yards last week.
WHO WILL WIN
As long as the team buses make it to the corner of 90th St. and Penn Ave. in Bloomington, North wins this one. This matchup is akin to David vs. Goliath -- if David had no stone to sling. The Jaguars lost 52-7 to No. 2-ranked Wayzata in the season opener Aug. 30 -- North is ranked No. 3. 'Nuff said.
