South Creek, Vermillion Stewards Earth Day Cleanup

Come enjoy a light breakfast (think bagels and coffee) before taking part in a cleanup during Lakeville’s Watershed Cleanup Day.  A light lunch will also be provided to all who help (as well as volunteer T-shirts!) at the conclusion of the event at South Creek, which feeds the Vermillion River, an important tributary of the Mississippi River and trophy trout stream.

A variety of clean-up options will be available, including ample trash to be picked up in the field and lots leading up to the stream, litter to be picked up by those with waterproof boots in the marshy area next to the creek, and those with waders (several pairs will be available at the cleanup) are needed to clean up from the stream-side.

All individuals, families and groups are welcome.  Please register with FMR program assistant Katie Clower at 651-222-2193 x23 to ensure adequate supplies.
