The only way to get your body ready for swim suits, shorts, and tank tops is by weight training, eating right, and doing some (but not a ton) of cardio. Short cardio interval training coupled with 2-3 days of weight training per week is best, not starving yourself to death and exercising on the treadmill or elliptical for 45 minutes per day every day. The goal is to gain muscle mass so that your body burns more calories at rest, which means you can eat more and still lose fat! What really matters is WHAT you EAT and WHAT you DO at the gym (not how much time you spend at the gym). We call this working out SMARTER not harder.
