The football team defeated Rosemount on Friday evening 17-0. The game however, was a little bit closer than the score indicated.
Halfway through the third period, the game was up for grabs by either team as South only lead 3-0. South drove down the field and scored on Mitchell Leidner's quarterback sneak into the endzone. South later added another touchdown on a short pass to Devon Bzoskie to make the score 17-0.
Rosemount was not able to put up any significant yardage against the Cougar defense until late in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of reach.

The Cougars (5-0) will play rival Lakeville North (5-0) next Friday at North in a battle of undefeated teams.
