Couagrs lose to Rosemount Irish 6-4

The Cougars lost a tough one on Monday to the Rosemount Irish, 6-4.

The Rosemount Irish and Lakeville-South Cougars battled back and forth on Monday night.  Rosemount would get the scoring going quickly, getting runs in the first and second innings going up going 2-0 at the end of the second.  But it didnt take long for the Cougars to respond, they scored two runs in the third and two runs in the 4th, making it 4-2, but in the bottom of the forth the Irish would quickly respond with two more runs of there own and tie the game at 4-4.

The Irish looked to take the lead in the fifth inning, with runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs.  But pitcher Matt Erdal would get the third out on a called strike three.  The Irish had another great oppertunity in the sixth inning, with basesloaded and two outs, Lucas Haase hit a line-drive to the outfield that brought in two runs for the Irish to take the lead and the win at 6-4.
