Lakeville's Kenwood Trail Middle School Science Olympiad Results

Congratulations to the two Kenwood Trail Middle School Science Olympiad teams for their regional tournament successes on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Providence Academy.

Congratulations to the two Kenwood Trail Middle School Science Olympiad teams for their regional tournament successes on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Providence Academy.

Kenwood Trail Middle School (KTMS) teams placed 5th and 6th in the regional tournament,  competing against 13 other teams from around the state. Several KTMS students earned medals in their individual events. 

Earning 1st place in events are the following students:

  • 8th graders Emily Brandt and Madi Drent for Rocks and Minerals
  • 8th grader Cassandra Sand for Mousetrap Vehicle 
  • 6th graders Josh Schultz and Keenan Leverty for Helicopter 

Earning 2nd place:

  • 7th graders Grace Mueller and Anna Mueller for Forestry
  • 8th graders Logan Truman and Katie Loveless for Boomilever
  • 8th grader Brock Schueck and 
  • 6th grader Anna Amodeo for Helicopter

3rd place:

4th place:

  • 7th grader Emily Levin and 6th grader Anna Amodeo for Forestry
  • 7th graders Andrew Meyer and Owen Schultz for Metric Mastery

Congratulations to Kenwood Trial Middle School on these great accomplishments. 

The state competition will be held on March 2, 2013 at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
