Lakeville North Advances to State Semifinals, Faces Eden Prairie
The No. 2 seeded Panthers defeated Moorhead on Wednesday to advance.
advanced to the semifinals for the State Boys High School Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, but it wasn't easy.
The No. 2 seeded Panthers (29-1) survived an inspired effort by the Moorhead Spuds (18-10), who were outmatched on paper, but kept the game close all the way till the end.
Moorhead actually led at halftime, 29-26, and we within 2 points with just two minutes to play.

Ryan Saarela led the Panthers with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Moorhead's Aaron Lien led all scorers with 15 points.
The Panthers now face Eden Prarie, which upset No. 3 Eastview in the quarterfinals. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at Target Center.
