Lakeville High Schools Run Some Activities, Sports on Tuesday
Some activities at Lakeville South are canceled and the Alpine Skiing meet is rescheduled.
Although Lakeville Area Public Schools canceled school for the day, both Lakeville North and Lakeville South High Schools will open their doors to some activities on Tuesday.
Lakeville North
The building will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday for "all afternoon activities", according to a statement on the high school website. The following games are listed as occurring as scheduled at Lakeville North:
- Boys Basketball vs. Burnsville
- Gymnastics vs. Eagan
- Girls Basketball at Eagan High School
- Boys Hockey at Eagan High School
"Nordic and Alpine practices will follow the MSHSL recommendation for cold weather practices," according to the statement.
Lakeville South
With the wind chill warning ending at 12 p.m. and temperatures expected to rise, Lakeville South will also open doors at 3 p.m. for afternoon activities.
All high school athletic games will occur as scheduled. The Adapted CI Hockey practice is canceled due to lack of transportation, according to a message on the Lakeville South website.
Nordic Ski will practice inside at Kenwood Trail Middle School from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Activity cancellations include:
- One Act Play
- Choir-Harmony
- Jazz Band
- Pep Band
The Alpine Ski varsity meet has been rescheduled to Jan. 27.
