Heartbreaker: Lakeville North Loses to Minnetonka in Longest Game in History

The Panthers battled Minnetonka in a six OT marathon in the semifinals.

The Lakeville North girls hockey team made history—but not in a way they had hoped.

The Panther's state title dreams were dashed in exhausting fashion early Saturday morning, losing to Minnetonka 4-3 in a game that lasted six overtimes—the longest game in state tournament history.

It was the second straight year the Panthers were ousted by Minnetonka at state.
