This is an update on the plans we are making for the remainder of the school year following the water main break this morning at Cherry View Elementary.  Following an assessment by structural engineers, the decision has been made to close the building for the remainder of the school year.  Students, however,  will return on Thursday, May 16, at the following locations:
• Kindergarten and grade 1  - Lake Marion Elementary.
• Grade 2, A+ and multi-categorical students Christina Huddleston Elementary
• Grades 3 and 4 - Eastview Elementary
• Grade 5 - Kenwood Trail Middle School with a separate entrance, hallways and bathrooms.

Personal belongings of students from desks and lockers will be moved to their assigned locations.

Students who walk or bike should arrive at the regular time and will be shuttled from Cherry View Elementary to their assigned locations before and after school.  Bus stop locations and times will remain the same for pick up and drop off.  Parents who drive students may drop off and pick up at their child's assigned location but the instructional day will be 9:40 a.m.-3:40 p.m.

Kid Zone students will attend at their newly assigned location.

Our staff has done an outstanding job with this challenge and we are working to return all of our students to a safe and secure learning environment.  The building has been secured and we ask that you not visit the building for any reason.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The school year ends June 6.
