Comments from Commissioner Krause at June 7 Rotary Club Meeting

Commissioner Krause gives the Rotary Club of Lakeville an update from the County level.

Dakota County Commissioner Paul Krause addressed the Rotary Club on June 7.

His comments were wide ranging from starting in Lakeville 1968 with 8,000 people through the growth years of today. He was extremely proud of the County and considers it best in class for the State. He addressed recent budget cuts and the challenge of balance with social service needs.

Commissioner Krause was very happy with the use of the transit facilities on Cedar and off of 35 near Fleet Farm. He also spoke of our terrific libraries, parks system and low tax rate.  He addressed looking at funding for a potential traffic circle on the corner of 185th and County 50 - saying a two lane circle could be a solution for safety and congestion relief.

He rounded up the discussion with questions and talking about how he used to milk 175 cows in Lakeville in the old days. Frank Schoeben asked when Commissioner Krause is going to reimburse him for all of the flowers the cows ate.

Good times.
