UPDATED: Water Main Break in Lakeville Results in Water Shut Off

The city named the affected areas as around Finch Way West and Findlay Way.

Update: 4:40 p.m. Tuesday

The city has announced that repairs should be done by 6 p.m. Water will be restored at that time.

The cold weather has caused a water main break in Lakeville.

The city announced the break shortly after noon. According to the message on the city's Facebook page, the break occurred near the intersection of Finch Way West and Findlay Way. Water is shut off in the area until repairs are completed.

Before the city can work on repairs, they have to wait for utility companies to arrive at the site and mark any buried lines, such as telephone, cable and gas, so that these lines remain undamaged, according to Lakeville's Utility Division

Repairs could take four to six hours as they will have to break through frost to get to the break.
