Thompson Appointed to Two Budget Conference Committees
Minnesota House and Senate budget bills will be reconciled in conference committees before being sent to Governor.
Minnesota's state senate announced its conference committee appointments today for reconciling the house and senate versions of this .
Lakeville's State Sen. Dave Thompson (R-District 36) has been appointed to both the Education Conference Committee and the State Government Innovation and Veterans Conference Committee.
"Education spending and policy are issues in which I am deeply interested," Thompson said in a press release. "I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House to do what’s best for Minnesota."
The committees are the next step in the budget process where members from both chambers will meet to resolve differences in their proposals to produce one single bill.
