Midwest Asphalt to Wait with Request for 24-Hour Operations in Lakeville

The company will meet directly with Lake Marion neighbors, Sun This Week reported.

Midwest Asphalt Corp. wants to start operating around the clock but will wait to ask the Lakeville City Council for a permit until after talks with Lake Marion neighbors, according to Sun This Week

There is a precedent for the situation. City Administrator Steve Mielke said of Aggregate Industries, the one Lakeville mining company now working 24-hour days: "They had a neighborhood meeting to work through issues, the neighborhood became satisfied and it went forward.”
