Lakeville's 'Open to Business' Program Now Open to Small Businesses

"Open to Business" participants will be able to meet with experienced business advisors one-on-one at Lakeville City Hall beginning in February.

Starting in February, Lakeville residents, small business owners, or entrepreneurs can get free, confidential, one-on-one consultation services and other assistance from “Open to Business,” a joint program between the City of Lakeville, Dakota County Community Development Agency, the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers, and other cities in Dakota County. “Open to Business” participants can receive assistance with business plan development, cash flow and financing projects, marketing plans, and will also have access to financing programs. There is no cost to Dakota County residents and businesses to participate in the program. 

“Open to Business” participants will be able to meet with experienced business advisors one-on-one at Lakeville City Hall beginning in February. Office hours for walk-in meetings are set for February 26 from 1-3 p.m. and will take place the fourth Tuesday of each month from 1-3 p.m.

A kick-off for the “Open to Business” program is scheduled for Thursday, February 28 at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center, 12600 Nicollet Ave., starting at 8 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, and all area small business owners and entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend.
