Lakeville Legislator Weighs in on Vikings Stadium

Rep. Mary Liz Holberg wants to introduce a bill that addresses financial concerns.

State Representative Mary Liz Holberg wants to see more accountability regarding financing for the Vikings Stadium.

Holberg plans to introduce a bill that would require the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) to allow the public to view its finances, KAAL-TV reported. The MSFA will own and operate the $975 million stadium.

The MSFA does not have to share revenue numbers for games or other events that will be held at the stadium. Holberg told KAAL-TV that "she has never seen a public data exemption like the one MSFA has for financial accountability in her 16 years working at the Capitol."

Her bill will address the problems she sees with the "current statute".
