Lakeville Lawyer Named Candidate for 1st Judicial District Judgeship

A Lakeville lawyer and volunteer mock trial coach for Lakeville North has been named one of three candidates to fill a judgeship in Minnesota’s 1st Judicial District,the Le Center Leader reported on Monday.

Mark Vandelist is a partner at Vandelist & Vandelist where he "primarily handles personal injury cases and provides pro bono services in criminal areas," according to the Leader story. He "is a certified civil trial specialist, serves as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, and volunteers as coach for Lakeville North High School Mock Trial."

The Commission on Judicial Selection also named Timothy Looby, a partner at Melchert Hubert Sjodin; and Robert Bauer, shareholder and vice president of Dougherty, Molenda, Solfest, Hills & Bauer P.A.

The appointment will be made in the next few weeks, according to the Leader.
