Lakeville Lawyer Appointed as a Judge in the 1st Judicial District

The lawyer, Mark Vandelist, is also a volunteer Mock Trial coach for Lakeville North.

Governor Mark Dayton has appointed a Lakeville lawyer, Mark Vandelist, as a judge in Minnesota's 1st Judicial District, the Shakopee Valley News reported. He will serve the judgeship in Le Center.

Vandelist is a partner at the Vandelist & Vandelist law firm and he "primarily handled personal injury cases and provided pro bono services in criminal areas," according to the paper. He is also a volunteer Mock Trial coach for Lakeville North.

Vandelist was one of three candidates for the judgeship. The two other candidates were Timothy Looby, at Melchert Hubert Sjodin; and Robert Bauer, at Dougherty, Molenda, Solfest, Hills & Bauer P.A.
