Fundraiser Auction for Heritage Center has New and Used Items Available

A large number of items, including bikes, wine glasses, tools and decorations, are available through the online auction for Lakeville's Heritage Center.

An online auction to fundraise for the Heritage Center in Lakeville has started and will run through Oct. 22.

Renovations of the Heritage Center were completed last year, but funds still need to be raised to pay back the loan from the city. Currently $178,420.12 has been raised out of the $277,860 total, said Lakeville Parks and Recreation Director Brett Altergott. The remaining repayment total is $99,439.88.

Residents and businesses donated a number of new and used items for the auction.

There have been other fundraisers for the center, Altergott said. Last month's golf event put on by the Lakeville Historical Societyraised over $11,000. Another past fundraiser was the Summer Splash in July.

Items will be available for inspection on Oct. 21 at the Old Public Works Building, located at 7773 214th Street.
